Lutron is expanding its product management organization and seeking highimpact leaders who thrive in crossfunctional environments. This role offers broad visibility across the company and is ideal for individuals eager to shape product strategy, influence business outcomes, and guide teams through complex product decisions.
As a Manager - Product Management, you will sit at the center of Lutron’s product development engine, translating customer needs into actionable product roadmaps, partnering closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and executive leadership. You will become a subjectmatter expert on our customers, channel partners, and market ecosystem, driving clarity, alignment, and execution across the organization. This is a unique opportunity to directly influence highvisibility initiatives while building deep product and business leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Gather and integrate customer insights to inform and refine product plans
- Lead major product introductions from initial concept through full launch
- Define pricing strategies and margin targets for new products
- Develop product positioning and gotomarket launch strategies
- Provide regular updates on priorities, progress, and decisions to executive and crossfunctional leadership
- Build business cases and establish growth targets for new product investments
- Monitor product portfolio health and proactively manage lifecycle strategy, including endoflife planning
Key Capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to solve abstract, crossdomain problems
- Proven track record driving crossfunctional initiatives within a matrixed organization
- Ability to independently plan and conduct customer interviews and synthesize insights
- Experience integrating multiple data sources to support datainformed decisionmaking
- Proven influencing skills with the ability to align priorities and navigate tradeoffs across teams
- Proactive mindset with a history of identifying improvement opportunities and advocating for change
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related technical field; OR a bachelor’s degree in a non-technical field combined with an MBA
- If less than 10 years of work experience, minimum cumulative 3.00 GPA is required
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in crossfunctional roles, leadership experience strongly preferred
- Experience in product development, product management, or product marketing required
- Experience in, construction, IoT, or lighting industries is beneficial but not required
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
