What You’ll Do

As an Engine Rebuild Technician, you’ll be responsible for complete engine reconditioning/rebuilding and component-level repairs. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Disassembling, inspecting, repairing, reconditioning, and reassembling engine components
  • Conducting reconditioning-type repairs using proper tooling and up-to-date service information
  • Completing accurate service documentation, including parts handling and technical information retrieval
  • Determining part reusability and making repair recommendations
  • Performing diagnostic tests, troubleshooting malfunctions, and making precise adjustments
  • Supporting customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship and timely service
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace
  • Helping train and mentor junior Technicians
  • Assisting Field Technicians with minor repairs when needed
  • Performing all duties professionally, efficiently, and safely
  • Supporting other tasks as needed to serve our customers and business operations
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting engines, components, and parts within the facility


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED; 3–5 years of relevant technician experience preferred
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, technical documents, and basic correspondence
  • Ability to write simple reports or notes
  • Personal tooling is sufficient to perform assigned duties (or the ability to obtain it)

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This role involves hands-on, physical work and exposure to a variety of shop environments. You should be comfortable with:

  • Standing, walking, reaching, climbing, kneeling, or crawling throughout the workday
  • Frequently lifting up to 20 lbs, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Working in conditions that may include heat, cold, humidity, high places, fumes, and outside weather
  • Using a full range of vision, including close, distance, color, and depth perception
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels and occasional vibration or electrical risks
