Responsibilities
Position Overview:
To use your unique talents, experience, skills, education, and initiative to assisting in leading the Operations team and to recognize that your contribution is essential to the vision of EZflow and Infiltrator Water Technologies.
3rd shift - 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Thursday
Essential Job Functions:
- Train and direct the activities of production personnel in the areas of Safety.
- Responsible for always meeting IWT’s Quality Policy and Standards – World Class People Producing World Class Products.
- Promote Teamwork throughout the plant.
- Coordinate with other Shift Supervisors, Logistics Coordinators, and Plant Managers to ensure that all safety, daily production goals, and quality standards are being met.
- Schedule and facilitate daily production meetings utilizing Lean Cube and promoting Continuous Improvement using established metrics, operator, and shift data, etc.
- The Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance of employee calendars, documentation of attendance or performance corrective actions, counseling, vacation scheduling and appropriate staffing to meet production needs within budget limits. Measure and identify opportunities to reduce employee turnover.
- Train and direct the activities of production personnel in the areas of equipment operation, quality control requirements, standards and procedures, and recognition of material which should be reworked or scrapped.
- Monitor machine efficiency records / tally sheets, analyze, and assist in determining problems when efficiency rate is below standard.
- Monitor general labor including Full Time and Temporary Labor, OT, and overall labor metrics pursuing the Corporate Goal of being the Low-Cost Producer.
- Prepare and maintain necessary production records, machine efficiency records, scrap reports, and other reports as required.
- Ensure all 6S tasks are performed daily, weekly, monthly and are continuously improved toward a world class operations facility.
- Experience with a MRP system, Logistics, and have general freight industry knowledge.
- Operate and trouble shoot manufacturing equipment including Automation (Robotics, AGV’s, AMR’s. PLC, Pneumatics, Electrical, and data management).
- Operate and trouble shoot manufacturing equipment including EZflow bead expansion, hydraulics, thermodynamics, welding, etc. Work with the Plant Manager or maintenance technician to ensure proper PM’s and maintenance activities are being executed on all equipment.
- Support physical inventory (raw materials and finished goods), ordering and receiving, general MRP entries, and demonstrate general business acumen.
- May perform the duties of a Plant Manager and / or Logistics Coordinator as required.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a Production Supervisor with a minimum of two years of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or management role within a manufacturing or other fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to provide technical guidance based on relevant experience and industry knowledge. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills, sound managerial judgment, and a demonstrated sense of urgency, accountability, and professionalism. A high level of integrity, business ethics, and self-motivation is essential, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English through written, verbal, and electronic means. Additionally, the selected individual will be expected to contribute to the development and maintenance of a world-class manufacturing environment by setting and upholding high performance standards.
