Post-Production Manager
Description:
Samson, the worldwide leader in high performance cordage, is seeking a Post-Production Manage who will manage all post-production operations and oversee the flow of product from the completion of production through final processing and delivery to finished goods inventory. The Post-Production Manager leads coating, reeling, fabrication, packaging, and related post-production activities while coordinating closely with Production, Scheduling, Warehousing, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Service to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations. Supports Samson's safety, quality, operational, and business objectives through effective leadership and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate post-production priorities and serve as the primary liaison between Production, Scheduling, Warehousing, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Service to ensure efficient product flow, on-time shipment performance, and alignment of operational priorities.
- Identify post-production operating supply, equipment, and personnel needs, and review or make recommendations to the Plant Manager.
- Balance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and morale to achieve positive results across all areas while driving continuous improvement.
- Assign, instruct, train, coordinate, and provide direction to department employees in the performance of their job duties. Verify employee timesheet records and track absenteeism.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, throughput, labor utilization, capacity visibility, and overall operational effectiveness within post-production operations.
- Ensure all products are processed, fabricated, and packaged in accordance with established quality standards, customer requirements, and operational procedures.
- Develop and maintain departmental capacity models, labor plans, and workflow visibility to support staffing decisions, scheduling priorities, continuous improvement initiatives, and changing business demands.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Development teams to support fabrication methods, new product introductions, and process improvements.
- Manage departmental budgets, labor costs, staffing levels, and operational expenditures while balancing service, productivity, quality, and safety objectives.
- Develop team members through effective coaching, performance management, and training.
- Take on additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support the team and business objectives at the direction of the Plant Manager
What You Should Have:
Education:
- Required: BA/BS in Business/Management; 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant supervisory role may substitute for education.
Experience:
- Required: Minimum of 5 years manufacturing or other relevant supervisory experience
- Desired: Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma processes experience

Compensation:
The targeted hiring range for this position is $ $82,000 – $95,000 annually.
Hiring rate will depend on qualifications and experience.
Samson has established wage scales for all of our positions, which are based on a minimum and maximum. The targeted hiring rate above is set to allow for employee’s growth within the role. full range for this position is $80,689 - $121,035 annually.
