About The Resident Education and Development (RED) Team
Our Resident Education and Development (RED) team is responsible for providing leadership in the development of a positive community within the residence communities. Our goal is to be a partner in students' educational journey through an intentional, educational, and vibrant residential experience.
Job Overview
The Business Officer of Student Affairs is looking to hire a Financial Administrator 2 to provide support to the following offices: Student Conduct & Community Standards, Dean of Students Office (including the Bearcat Pantry & Resource Center), and Resident Education and Development (RED). These offices provide a number of key services to support student belonging, student engagement, student wellbeing & safety, and student accountability for the UC Community. The Financial Administrator 2 will be responsible for overseeing the planning and supervision of the fiscal administrative activities within a designated functional area.
Essential Functions

Required Experience
Two (2) years of finance or accounting experience.
Additional Qualifications Considered
• Detail oriented and organized
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Experience with Microsoft office (Power BI and Excel)
• Experience with SAP
• Higher Ed Experience

Essential Functions
- Oversee daily processing and accounting functions; ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with university, local, state and federal requirements and standard accounting and audit procedures including all compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficiency in preparing budgets, collaborating with functional units to develop forecasts, to monitor and report on financial results.
- Comprehend and enforce the University's financial policies and apply these policies to various financial transactions and offer guidance to leadership.
- Monitor the financial status of budgetary allocations.
- May coordinate personnel functions for a functional area.
- Assist with processing, reconciliations, and training related to Bank of America (BOA) cards
- Develop and maintain training materials and standard workflows for navigating and utilizing the Concur system
- Communicate fiscal policy updates to the department, promoting awareness and compliance
- Process supplier payments and manage other financial transactions within university financial systems (PACE)
- Perform related duties based on departmental needs. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree must be in accounting or related work.
- Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
