The Manufacturing Analyst will work closely with the Operations Program Management (OPM) organization and Cell Management, on planning, organizing, and controlling the flow of product through a Manufacturing Cell in support of both internal and external customer delivery requirements.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Coordination with Cell Management on work load forecasting, and work scheduling
- WIP (work-in-process) troubleshooting
- Maintaining an accurate critical path within SAP -
- Responsible for MTV (material-to-vendor) and Service Requisitions
- Coordinating the Serialization of product, including vendor components
- Monitoring flow of issued kits in manufacturing
- Coordination with the shipping department
- Coordination with DCMA
- SAP metric maintenance; Aging Orders; Overdue hours; Confirmed Not Delivered orders; floor stock inventory control; and the resolving of material shortages as they relate to open production orders
- General program production planning duties
- Interface with Customer to provide status inquires, process improvements, scheduling priorities, problem solving, and material issues
- Coordination with program office, contracts, finance, and engineering to support customer needs
The chosen candidate should be self-motivated with strong organizational, presentation, communication, analytical, interpersonal, and PC computer skills. She/he should also have the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Basic Qualifications for the Sr Principal Manufacturing Analyst:
Bachelor's Degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience. Candidates with a high school diploma and at least 14 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Materials, MRP, or Production Control, Supply Chain or similar environment or an Associate's degree and 12 years of relevant experience will be considered.
Experience of GOLD inventory management system
Experience with SAP
Test data and final error report experience
Experience with DoD Returned Material for Repair (RMR) process including Requests for Funding (RFD) and Evaluation Repair Authorization (ERA)
Preferred Qualifications for the Sr Principal Manufacturing Analyst:
- Experience working in the defense industry
- Project management and/or planning experience
- 5 or more years of SAP or MRP/ERP experience
- Experience scheduling work in production environment

Primary Level Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $168,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
