Compensation: $55 to $75 Yearly

We are looking for a Payroll/AP Associate to support daily financial operations. This position will manage invoice and payment activity, assist with incoming funds and account balancing, and oversee bi-weekly payroll administration with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness. The role also serves as a key resource for payroll and benefits systems, helping employees and internal teams navigate updates, records, and related processes.


Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle by reviewing invoices, assigning appropriate accounting codes, and entering transactions into the accounting platform for timely payment.

• Coordinate outgoing payments from operating and escrow accounts, including preparing checks, processing vouchers, and ensuring disbursements are issued according to approvals and instructions.

• Support accounts receivable activities by recording deposits, maintaining documentation for endorsed checks, and updating financial records accurately.

• Maintain vendor profiles and related contract records, ensuring required tax and payment information is collected and retained in the system.

• Reconcile escrow account activity to the general ledger and keep supporting accounting files organized through electronic and manual recordkeeping.

• Respond to payment, invoice, and account questions from vendors, contractors, and employees in a timely and courteous manner.

• Process bi-weekly payroll by compiling time data, entering payroll details, verifying pay and deduction accuracy, and posting payroll-related journal entries.

• Administer payroll-related changes such as garnishments, retirement contributions, employee file updates, and annual wage statement distribution.

• Provide support for timekeeping and benefits platforms by setting up new hires, updating employee status changes, archiving former staff records, and guiding employees on system use.

• Assist with recurring month-end payment processing and contribute to updates in accounts payable workflows when financial systems or procedures change.
