Accounting Assistant

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to support daily financial operations for a busy team in Covington, Kentucky. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who brings strong organizational skills, accuracy, and a service-minded approach to accounting and administrative work. In this role, you will contribute to invoice processing, cash activity tracking, vendor support, and customer communication while helping maintain reliable financial records. The position offers the chance to build hands-on experience in a collaborative environment where attention to detail and follow-through are highly valued.

Responsibilities:
• Process customer invoices and vendor-related expenses with a high level of accuracy and ensure documentation is properly recorded in company systems.
• Maintain accounts payable activity by entering transactions, monitoring outstanding items, and supporting timely vendor payments.
• Post daily cash receipts and assist with accounts receivable tasks to keep account balances current and well documented.
• Respond to customer inquiries related to billing, pricing, and invoice questions in a courteous and timely manner.
• Track internal spending activity and compile recurring financial reports to support monthly review processes.
• Prepare and submit employee expense documentation while recording company deposit activity accurately.
• Provide support during audit preparation by organizing financial records and assisting with requested accounting documentation.
• Contribute to general office and accounting support activities that help the department operate efficiently each day.
