Chief of Staff

We are looking for an experienced Chief of Staff to provide structure, momentum, and cross-functional coordination for high-impact initiatives on a contract basis for an organization located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This contract position is ideal for a strategic project professional who can align stakeholders, drive execution, and keep complex workstreams moving efficiently. The role requires strong formal project management discipline, sound judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in Agile environments while supporting organizational priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-department initiatives from planning through delivery, ensuring timelines, priorities, and outcomes remain aligned with business goals.

• Build and maintain project plans, status updates, and governance materials that give leaders clear visibility into progress, risks, and next steps.

• Partner with executive stakeholders and operational teams to coordinate decisions, remove blockers, and keep critical efforts on track.

• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and follow-up actions that improve collaboration and accountability across multiple functions.

• Apply structured project management methods to manage scope, dependencies, resource needs, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.

• Support Agile ways of working by helping teams organize priorities, monitor sprint-related progress, and adapt to changing business needs.

• Identify delivery risks early and implement practical mitigation strategies to reduce disruption and maintain momentum.

• Prepare concise communications and executive-ready summaries that translate complex project details into clear recommendations and actions.
