Benefits Coordinator
We are looking for a Benefits Coordinator to join a fast-moving HR team in White Plains, NY on a contract-to-permanent basis. This position is ideal for a benefits specialist who can confidently manage day-to-day administration for a large employee population with minimal ramp-up time. The role focuses on benefit enrollments, life event changes, invoice reconciliation, and leave coordination, while partnering closely with finance and HR to maintain accuracy and service quality.
Responsibilities:
• Administer employee benefit programs for a workforce of approximately 1,200 employees, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
• Manage medical benefits through hands-on, manual administration and resolve discrepancies with a high level of attention to detail.
• Process new employee enrollments, qualifying life event updates, and benefit terminations in accordance with plan rules and deadlines.
• Review, reconcile, and prepare benefit invoices for submission to the finance team, ensuring billing accuracy and proper documentation.
• Coordinate leave of absence activity through a leave management provider and monitor related status updates, records, and communication.
• Use HR and benefits systems, including applicable platforms, to maintain employee data and support reporting needs.
• Analyze benefits data and create spreadsheets or reports in Excel to track enrollment activity, billing, and exceptions.
• Support benefits-related projects, including participation in implementation activities or process improvement efforts when needed.
