Business Systems Analyst III

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to be responsible for analyzing and evaluating business and technical requirements within the Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management (WAMS) environment and developing system solutions to meet operational needs. This role supports backend data processing, system integrations, and cloud migration initiatives while collaborating closely with business and technology stakeholders.

This position plays a key role in enhancing and maintaining WAMS functionality, supporting data operations, and enabling secure, scalable integrations with Oracle Cloud platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong backend development expertise, data integration experience, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Analyze business problems and evaluate technical solutions within the WAMS platform.

·      Support and maintain backend processes in Oracle Utilities WAMS (v1.9x preferred).

·      Collaborate with business and technical teams to define system requirements, data flows, and functional logic.

·      Translate business needs into backend processing logic, integrations, and system improvements.

·      Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data extraction routines.

·      Build and support Shell/Unix scripts for automation, data processing, and secure file transfers.

·      Architect and support data integration workflows using SFTP and file-based pipelines.

·      Support migration of legacy file-based integrations to Oracle Cloud Object Storage.

·      Map and transform data into structured formats (CSV, XML, JSON) for reporting and ingestion.

·      Support ingestion of datasets into Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB).

·      Ensure data integrity, performance, auditability, and alignment with enterprise standards.

·      Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.

·      Assist with QA, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

·      Document technical processes, data flows, and system designs to support long-term scalability.
