Property Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned properties (monthly close, reconciliations, reporting)
• Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and reporting packages
• Reconcile bank accounts, CAM, tenant ledgers, and balance sheet accounts
• Record revenue, expenses, accruals, and journal entries
• Track and bill tenant charges including CAM, rent, and other recoveries
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts for properties
• Analyze operating performance and flag variances or risks to management
• Support audits and provide requested documentation
• Ensure compliance with lease agreements, GAAP, and internal policies
• Partner with property managers on financial insights, collections, and expense control
