Property Accountant
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned properties (monthly close, reconciliations, reporting)
- Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and reporting packages
- Reconcile bank accounts, CAM, tenant ledgers, and balance sheet accounts
- Record revenue, expenses, accruals, and journal entries
- Track and bill tenant charges including CAM, rent, and other recoveries
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts for properties
- Analyze operating performance and flag variances or risks to management
- Support audits and provide requested documentation
- Ensure compliance with lease agreements, GAAP, and internal policies
- Partner with property managers on financial insights, collections, and expense control
