VP Finance

Robert Half is partnering with an outstanding privately held organization in the Quad Cities area to identify a Vice President of Finance. This is a career-making opportunity for a finance leader who wants to make a meaningful impact and has the potential to grow into a Chief Financial Officer role over time.

Our client is seeking a strong financial business partner with experience in a larger company environment who can bring leadership, operational finance expertise, and executive presence to the organization. This individual will oversee monthly financial reporting, work-in-process (WIP) reporting, and core financial operations while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the board.

The ideal candidate is an outgoing and engaging leader who can develop a team, build strong cross-functional relationships, and clearly articulate financial performance and insights to both operational leaders and board-level audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly financial reporting and ensure timely, accurate financial statements.
• Manage financial operations including accounting, cash management, and compliance.
• Lead project-based financial reporting, including WIP analysis, job cost tracking, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Partner closely with operations and project leadership to provide financial insight and improve project performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Prepare and present financial information to executive leadership and the board in a clear, actionable manner.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, financial processes, and reporting systems.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Serve as a key financial business partner across the organization.
