Staff Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Manage recurring close activities by preparing journal entries, recording accruals, and completing account reconciliations for month-end and year-end reporting.
• Oversee general ledger accuracy for multiple properties and related entities, ensuring balances are properly recorded and supported.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash transactions to help maintain reliable reporting of daily and monthly activity.
• Contribute to the production of periodic financial statements, supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting needs.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including processing vendor-related activity and coordinating tenant billing support.
• Analyze property operating results, research fluctuations, and follow up on unusual variances with the appropriate teams.
• Reconcile tenant security deposits, reserve balances, and other property-level accounts requiring detailed tracking.
• Support audit preparation, tax-related documentation, lender reporting, budgeting support, and maintenance of accounting policies, records, and data files.
• Work closely with property management, operations staff, and outsourced accounting partners to address accounting questions and keep financial processes running smoothly.
