The minimum qualifications for the Teller position are:

  • Excellent public relations and customer service skills.
  • Professionalism, timeliness, efficiency and accuracy.
  • Financial industry experience preferred.

Concierge Role:

The successful candidate will possess excellent member service skills, will display accuracy while processing member transactions, and will demonstrate professionalism when communicating with members through a variety of channels.

Perform all teller duties as needed, including maintaining and balancing a teller drawer.

Assist members using ITM machines.

Perform back-office functions as directed.

Assist in special projects as assigned.

Provide basic explanation of credit union products and policies to members as needed.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

The role can be learned in hours, days, or weeks.

Education

A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Reports to the Billings Vice President of Operations
  • Works closely with all staff members in Billings
  • Frequent daily contact with members, potential members and Credit Union staff. Infrequent contact with outside sources such as insurance companies, dealers, other financial institutions and title entities. A high level of interpersonal skills required in order to effectively represent the Credit Union and market products and services to all types of members, potential members and the community.
  • Frequent exposure to sensitive information requires a tactful and trustworthy individual to protect the Credit Union’s interest, employees and members.

Other Skills

' Previous banking experience highly desirable

' 10-key and keyboarding skills

' Personal computer knowledge, hardware and Windows software, with ability to quickly adapt to and learn new applications ' Teller/Cashier experience preferred

' Positive attitude

' Ability to use discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving ' Ability to work independently and as a team member

Physical

Requirements

' Substantial repetitive movement of arms, wrists, hands and fingers, including picking up, pinching, keyboard use and telephone use.

' Requires movement through standard office environment such as occasional bending, stooping, frequent sitting and walking short distances.

' Must be able to communicate through the spoken and written word, expressing ideas or documenting others expression of ideas.

' Occasionally required to move objects, requiring possible lifting up to 10 pounds.
