Job Summary
Supervises the journeyperson in the specific shop in accordance with all University of Pittsburgh policies and procedures as well as the contract with the Pittsburgh Building Trades Council. Measure and assesses problems in the field and find solutions. Must be organized, possess good communication skills and have exceptional work ethic. Builds rapport with the customer and discuss the requirements of the job. Must be able to supervise others, work independently as well as alongside all Facilities Management personnel in a professional manner. Performs all work associated in the HVACR field, but not limited to: Steam, Chillers, Pumps, Air compressors, Walk in boxes and control systems. Demonstrates a high proficiency when installing or repairing any and all work.

Must also be able to work alongside all applicable personnel in a professional manner. Responsible for frequent emails, work order entry, and ordering. Supervisory experience required.

Additional details about Required Licensure/Certification: Previous supervisory experience required. Completed/Graduated from a certified Apprenticeship Program. Large Tonnage Chiller Experience for HVAC Technician. Basic Computer Skills. CFC Universal Certification for HVAC Technician. 10 or more years of experience required.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Work Arrangement: On-Campus: Teams that work on campus, in an office, or in a lab.
