Job Description:

SUMMARY:

Coordinates and provides mobilization and demobilization assistance and operations for North Fort Cavazos DPTMS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises the daily activities of personnel working in the DPTMS Mobilization Operations office
  • Prepares Mobilization SITREP, briefing slides for BUB and writes, edits, and finalizes NFC DPTMS quarterly, semi-annual, and annual historical reports
  • Assists in developing long and short-range plans for support of mobilizing/demobilizing units on NFC
  • Coordinates support for special projects as assigned to support facilities, equipment, and operations on NFC
  • Reviews 1A and Div West OPORDs, EXORDs and Mobilization regulations for impact to NFC operations (LSMO, LSCO and Daily Operations)
  • Assists as needed with NFC DPTMS input to Mobilization Support Plan (MSP) and Installation Deployment Support plan (IDSP)
  • Tracks current construction projects, collects information, analyzes capabilities, and makes recommendations for future projects to increase capabilities on NFC attends meetings and IPRs to track and coordinate future projects on NFC
  • Creates OPORDS for Mobilization Division as directed by Mobilization Division Chief
  • Reviews all III CORPS and IMCOM OPORDS for tasks impacting NFC DPTMS operations
  • Serves at POC for coordination between agencies at NFC to ensure smooth operations and Mobilization Division Chiefs intent is fulfilled
  • Ensures the fuel usage report is maintained daily, and prepares monthly fuel report
  • Enrolls personnel for the training and schooling within the contract to fulfill the requirements in completing upcoming tasks or missions
  • Facilitates weekly site visits for mobilizing units
  • Assists NFC DPTMS operation as needed with reservations, barracks, admin BOQs
  • Adherence to all TLC Policies accessed through Deltek Costpoint via the following path.

  • This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.
    • Hours of work 7:30AM -4:30PM (M-F)

    NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform other duties as assigned

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review timesheets
  • Review leave request
  • Oversee daily department workflow and scheduling
Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Essential :

  • Must be able to type 40 wpm
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Security Clearance

  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
  • Excellent personal communication skills
  • Must have valid state drivers license and be able to maintain post driving privileges
  • Must be able obtain/maintain Common Access Card
  • Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines
  • Must be able to devise steps necessary to complete tasks

Preferred :

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 3 or more years battle staff/staff operations preferred
  • Prior work with military/government preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external, clients and other employees in the organization. Ability to interpret instructions and information and explain to others in the performance of this job in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop down and lift and carry more than 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone ; and the manual dexterity to operate computer.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:

This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site.

Work performed indoors. No travel requirements. Will work 40 hours work week with a possibility to work weekends and/or holidays if mission/operations require. This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

EXPECTATIONS:

Transportation & Access: You must have reliable transportation to and from work and be able to access military installations.

Background & Drug Screening: Employment requires passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Random drug and alcohol testing may also occur without prior notice.

Timesheets: Record your actual work hours daily and ensure your entries are accurate and timely to support smooth operations.

Dress & Punctuality: Arrive on time and dress appropriately for your shift.
