What You Will Do
- The Assistant Men's Soccer Coach reports directly to the Head Coach and is responsible for assisting in the organization and administration of the Men's Soccer program in accordance with the rules and regulations of the University, Ohio Valley Conference, and NCAA.
- The Assistant Men's Soccer Coach must have a commitment to developing a competitive NCAA Division I Men's Soccer program, while maintaining an emphasis on the academic success of the student-athlete. The Assistant Men's Soccer Coach will be expected to assist the Head Coach with the administration of the program in a manner that promotes the health, safety and welfare of the student-athlete.
- Compliance with NCAA rules is of the utmost importance at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. As a member of the athletics department staff it is expected that the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach will have a full understanding of the NCAA rules that pertain to the position. It is also expected that the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach will comply with all NCAA rules and if he/she becomes aware, or have reasonable cause to believe, that a violation of a rule has occurred he/she will immediately report it to the Director of Athletics or his/her designee.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
Bachelors degree
Previous experience as a NCAA assistant coach, or high level club/amateur soccer coaching experience
Evidence of strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree
One year of collegiate coaching experience
Current knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
