We are looking for you to join our team as an Engineer Mission Assurance based out of San Diego, CA.

What you'll get to do:

  • Support MA Activities – Assist senior engineers with risk identification, independent reviews, configuration control, and corrective‑action tracking for active programs.

  • Metrics & Data Development – Design and maintain dashboards, KPI reports, and trend analyses that highlight quality performance and drive decision‑making.

  • Process Improvement – Participate in sessions to propose and test new MA methods, tools, or automation scripts.

  • Documentation – Produce clear, concise MA artifacts (e.g., work instructions, audit checklists, lessons‑learned summaries) using the MS Office suite.

  • Cross‑Team Collaboration – Liaise with engineering, program management, and supplier quality groups to ensure MA requirements are understood and met.

  • Learning & Development – Attend formal training, on‑the‑job mentorship as directed.

The ideal candidate must be able to communicate written and verbally, proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel for data analysis, PowerPoint for reporting, Word for documentation), multitask, collaborate in a team environment, work in a fast pace manufacturing environment, think outside the box utilizing problem solving skills, use AI when needed, and develop strong relationships with stakeholders and team members.

Basic Qualifications for the Engineer Mission Assurance:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Engineering, Mission Assurance, Production Line or Activities, Manufacturing, Quality, or other related fields; Master's Degree with 0 years of experience.

  • U.S Citizenship is required.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a fast pace manufacturing environment.

  • QMS (9001, AS9100) experience.

  • Active Secret Clearance.

  • RCCA experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
