Mailroom Assistant

We are looking for a dependable Mailroom Assistant to support daily mail operations for a Contract position based in Boston, Massachusetts. This role focuses on receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming correspondence and accountable items while assisting with a range of routine administrative and mailroom tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, service-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced detail-focused services environment.

Responsibilities:
• Receive, sort, and route incoming mail and packages to the appropriate departments and individuals in a timely manner.
• Manage the distribution of accountable mail, ensuring accurate tracking, secure handling, and confirmed delivery.
• Process outgoing correspondence by preparing items for pickup and coordinating with USPS and other delivery providers as needed.
• Support day-to-day mailroom operations by completing basic clerical and operational tasks that keep workflow moving efficiently.
• Maintain organized mail holding areas and ensure items are stored, labeled, and released properly.
• Provide mail support for the campus location, helping meet daily service expectations across the site.
• Monitor daily mail volume and address routine issues related to delivery, pickup, or processing delays.
