Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Saint Paul, Minnesota for a Contract position. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can step in quickly, manage day-to-day receivables activity with minimal oversight, and help maintain stability across billing, collections, and account review processes. The position will support ongoing month-end accounts receivable activities while partnering with a small team to keep customer accounts accurate, current, and well managed.

Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day accounts receivable operations, including invoicing support, payment follow-up, account reconciliation, and resolution of outstanding balances.
• Oversee commercial collections efforts across an assigned group of customer accounts and take timely action to reduce aging balances.
• Apply cash activity accurately and ensure customer payments are posted and matched to the appropriate accounts.
• Review customer account status, evaluate creditworthiness, and assist with credit applications, account holds, and related risk decisions.
• Prepare and maintain aging reports, prioritize collection efforts, and coordinate account assignments within the receivables workflow.
• Support month-end close by completing AR-related reconciliations, reserve entries, and other required reporting activities.
• Help improve consistency in receivables processes by bringing structure, follow-through, and independent ownership to daily tasks.
• Provide short-term coverage and operational continuity during a transition in receivables ownership and team responsibilities.
