Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support a well-established organization in Knoxville, Tennessee. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining accurate receivables records, resolving billing issues, and contributing to a dependable accounting team. The role offers consistent onsite work in a detail-oriented environment with the potential to move into a long-term position.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee open customer balances and track invoice activity to help maintain healthy receivables.
• Research payment variances and billing concerns, then work toward prompt and accurate resolution.
• Contact customers regarding past-due accounts and follow through to secure timely payment updates.
• Prepare invoice corrections when needed and ensure all related backup documentation is properly recorded.
• Match payments to invoices and complete routine reconciliations to confirm account accuracy.
• Provide the Receivables Manager with clear updates on account status, collection activity, and outstanding issues.
