Accountant - Entry Level

We are looking for an Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations for an organization in Monmouth County, New Jersey. This Long-term position is ideal for someone who is eager to build hands-on accounting experience while contributing to invoicing, cash application, reconciliations, and reporting activities. The role offers close collaboration with accounting leadership and exposure to core month-end processes in a fast-paced business environment.

Responsibilities:

• Create and process customer invoices each day, ensuring billing information is accurate and completed on schedule.

• Send finalized invoices to clients promptly and maintain organized records of billing activity.

• Record incoming customer payments and apply cash receipts correctly within the general ledger.

• Perform routine reconciliations for receivables, sales activity, credit-related accounts, and other key balances to confirm ledger accuracy.

• Support the month-end close by preparing journal entry details and assisting the Controller with accounting adjustments.

• Compile weekly financial summaries and provide additional analytical support when requested.

• Participate in team meetings and communicate updates related to accounting tasks and priorities.

• Prepare special reports and assist with finance-related projects assigned by the Controller.

• Use accounting software such as Peachtree or similar platforms like QuickBooks to maintain financial data and transaction records.
