Sr. Accountant

We are looking for a sharp and detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to support critical accounting operations in Lakewood, Washington. This is a Contract position focused on high-volume reconciliations, financial review, and accurate transaction processing in a fast-paced finance environment. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, can identify inconsistencies quickly, and is comfortable working under demanding year-end deadlines.

Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed accounts receivable reconciliations across a variety of transactions and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
• Record journal entry activity in the accounting system while maintaining proper documentation and alignment with established procedures.
• Complete account and bank reconciliations as part of month-end and year-end close activities within strict reporting timelines.
• Upload budget data from Excel into ctcLink and verify that imported information is complete, accurate, and properly mapped.
• Review financial reports for errors or unusual activity, organize supporting materials, and route issues for follow-up when needed.
• Communicate clearly with internal departments and partner groups to resolve exceptions, clarify financial data, and keep work moving forward.
• Support general ledger accuracy by validating balances, researching variances, and escalating items that appear inconsistent or out of place.
• Work closely with the finance team to help maintain organized records and reliable reporting throughout the contract assignment.
