Oil and Gas Revenue Accountant

Revenue Accountant (SAP PRA) – Upstream Oil & Gas | Contract

Location: Fully Remote

Duration: 6–12 Months

Pay Rate: Up to $80/hour

Overview:

Our client, a leading upstream oil and gas company in Denver, is seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant with strong SAP PRA expertise to support ongoing revenue accounting operations. This is a long-term contract opportunity focused on revenue processing, validation, and testing within a SOX-compliant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support monthly revenue accounting activities and close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SOX controls

• Perform and validate revenue distribution activities, including cash receipts, sales remittance entry, and purchaser statement review

• Process and reconcile revenue transactions within SAP PRA (Production Revenue Accounting)

• Execute testing and validation of PRA revenue accounting processes and system outputs

• Monitor and validate gas balancing, midstream costs, and contract compliance

• Maintain data integrity through quality checks and system report reviews

• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve workflows and identify process automation opportunities

• Assist with internal and external audits

• Respond to owner, partner, and vendor revenue inquiries

• Provide general accounting support and reporting as needed
