System Administrator

Overview

Our client is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a growing backlog of tickets and provide hands-on expertise across infrastructure, virtualization, and endpoint management. This role will be heavily focused on Nutanix administration, SCCM packaging/deployments, and overall systems support.

Key Responsibilities:

System Administration & Infrastructure

• Administer and maintain servers, virtualization platforms, and storage systems
• Manage and support Nutanix HCI environments (AHV, Prism)
• Perform system monitoring, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning
• Ensure systems are secure and aligned with IT policies

Endpoint Management (SCCM / MECM)

• Create and manage software packages and deployments in SCCM
• Deploy patches, updates, and applications via Software Center
• Troubleshoot SCCM client and deployment issues
• Support OS deployments and task sequences

Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Manage Veeam Backup & Replication environment
• Monitor backup jobs and perform restores/testing
• Support disaster recovery processes and documentation

Networking Support

• Handle day-to-day network administration (patching, troubleshooting)
• Support Palo Alto firewall environment
• Assist with VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and general connectivity issues

Support & Ticketing

• Provide Tier 2/3 support across systems, network, and endpoints
• Work through backlog of IT tickets and ongoing service requests
• Support Windows environments and end-user systems
