Staff Accountant

About the Role

Our client in San Francisco is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support their finance team on a contract, onsite basis. This role will focus on general ledger management, month-end close, and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper supporting documentation
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including account reconciliations
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Support financial reporting, including preparation of balance sheet and income statement schedules
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Partner with AP/AR teams to ensure accurate recording of transactions
• Assist with audits by providing schedules and supporting documentation
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
