Skills
Experience operating zero-turn mowers, tractors, weed-eaters, chainsaws, or other landscaping equipment Experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, stormwater maintenance, construction, or agriculture Knowledge of stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) Experience inspecting or maintaining retention ponds, detention basins, drainage ditches, swales, and culverts Ability to safely tow and back trailers (16–24 ft.) Experience driving pickup trucks with equipment trailers Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Ability to read maps, work orders, and site plans Experience using handheld GPS devices or mobile work-order applications Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify maintenance or safety concerns OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred) Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication and customer service skills Willingness to travel and work extended hours during peak season Commitment to workplace safety and environmental stewardship

We’re hiring Stormwater Compliance Technicians to help maintain stormwater infrastructure across MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, TN, and KY. This is hands-on, field-based work where your effort has a direct, long-term impact on water quality and local ecosystems.

💼 What You’ll Do

This is a labor-intensive, equipment-driven field role. A typical day includes:

  • Operating mowers, weed-eaters, and other equipment
  • Maintaining stormwater ponds, drainage ditches, and easements
  • Performing site inspections and documenting conditions
  • Towing and maneuvering a 16–24 ft trailer
  • Solving problems independently while knowing when to call for guidance
  • Working outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions

💵 Pay & Benefits

  • Starting at $20+ per hour, based on experience
  • Guaranteed 80-hour biweekly paycheck with our unique 7-days-on / 7-days-off schedule
  • Year-round employment
  • Overtime opportunities during peak workload periods

  • Daily per diem while working away from home
  • PTO begins after 60 days, growing to 11 days at 10 years
  • 7 days off for Thanksgiving and 10 to 14 days off for Christmas
