Summary
The Inventory Control / Shipping and Receiving position is responsible for supporting inventory control, inventory accuracy, warehouse transactions, and shipping/receiving activities in accordance with company policies and procedures. This role assists managers with resolving discrepancies, maintaining accurate records, receiving and issuing materials, stocking warehouse products, and supporting safe and efficient warehouse operations.
- Shift schedule: Mondays - Fridays / 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Compensation: $20/hr.
Responsibilities
- Perform and maintain the plant cycle count program, including verifying, reconciling, and investigating inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory documents and maintain inventory accuracy records and charts.
- Work with Materials, Shipping/Receiving, Inventory Control, Production, and Accounting teams to resolve inventory issues and locate missing parts.
- Assist managers and team members with inventory transactions, cycle counts, and related questions.
- Recognize raw materials and finished products to support accurate inventory control.
- Support inspection and quality activities, including RGA’s, RMO’s, and scrap material.
- Maintain and update inventory records in AS400, including material receipts, issues, cycle counts, carload documents, and outside processing.
- Receive, issue, weigh, stock, and organize warehouse products safely and accurately.
- Ensure returned goods are properly grouped, rotated, and reissued for inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate transportation needs with Crosby and truck line personnel.
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, and store products safely.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures, work rules, and housekeeping standards.
- Meet the physical requirements of the role and work scheduled hours, including overtime as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of Shipping and Receiving experience.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, AS400, or similar systems.
- Basic computer skills, including Excel files and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to read, write, and perform job-related math.
- Strong recordkeeping, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, scales, UPS scales, and calculators.
- Strong inventory control, cycle counting, and discrepancy resolution skills.
- Ability to recognize raw materials and finished products.
- Ability to coordinate transportation and communicate with internal teams and outside carriers.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including good height and depth perception.
- Must be able to work scheduled hours and overtime as assigned.
- Must follow all safety procedures, company policies, and work rules.
Preferred Experience / Skills
ERP experience is required; AS400 experience is preferred.
Additional Information
- May be required to assume Shipping/Receiving & Inventory Control Manager responsibilities when needed.
- Requires regular communication with management, production, Accounting, internal personnel, and truck line contacts.
- Involves warehouse and manufacturing activities requiring strong safety awareness.
- Forklift operation requires authorization and training by the Safety Director.
