Responsibilities

Maintenance Technician I
Hours:  3rd Shift - Sunday through Friday morning
Pay Rate: Up to $39.44/HR, pay is based on experience
Pay Grade: HR026
 
**This position will require temporary training on 1st shift for up to 6 months.**
 
Now hiring for a Maintenance Technician I at our Murrysville, PA manufacturing plant.  In this role you will be counted on for the following activities: 
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repairs production machines and facility equipment.
  • Diagnose problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and makes adjustments.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to production machine and facility equipment.
  • Confer with service representatives and researches and orders corrects parts for equipment.
  • Complete and maintain relevant paperwork.
  • Assist in all areas of production equipment and facility maintenance.


Qualifications

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
    6 months maintenance experience or relevant experience/coursework
  • Must be available for on-call for 24 hour emergency response.
  • Ability to:
    • read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
    • understand standard/metric units of measure.
    • set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
    • sometimes lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds without assistance.
    • use power and hand tools.
    • use and check safety on cranes.
    • interact with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and be computer literate.
    • analyze and plan each job in order to determine tools, equipment and materials necessary.
    • work at various heights which necessitates the use of ladders, scaffolding, and motorized lifts.
    • effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporaries.
    • understand process controllers for programming and repair including CNCs, PLCs, etc.
    • operate a fork truck and a pallet jack.
    • wear respirator when needed.
    • walk, stand, crouch, stoop, bend, reach and climb for prolonged periods of time.
    • work independently and perform work under minimal supervision
    • occasionally be required to work other shifts. Must be flexible.
    • work in a team environment.
Preferred:
  • Technical school or additional technical training in applicable field
  • 3 – 5 years previous experience in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance
