The Defense Sector, Decision Advantage Business Area at Leidos is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. Do you have a passion for ensuring the seamless operation of a diverse team across 3 uniquely different customers and workload? Whether working independently or collaboratively, you're customer and team focused. Although this position is 75% remote, candidates located in the Warner Robins, GA area are strongly preferred. There will be up to 25% travel to the customer site on Robins Air Force Base that will be required.

In this role, you will support the Project Manager as a project manager, assisting with execution of 3 programs and provide comprehensive support to our operational team. You will

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain schedules, develop WBS, track status of CDRLs and work products and ensure they are delivered on time
  • Review the work of the teams to ensure high quality products are delivered to the customer
  • Clearly communicate with the PM on status of workload and provide early identification of issues
  • Work with the PM and Deputy PM to manage tasks and workload and manage resources to ensure work is delivered on time
  • Develop monthly status reports and maintain risk registers for 3 programs
  • Prepare briefings and assist the PM with collecting data to generate reports
  • Provide support to the PM for program planning and cost estimating
  • Brief and support program reviews and meetings with the customer.
  • Provide guidance to establish and maintain SOPs, user documentation, and training material.
  • Cross-train and mentor other staff members as needed
  • Interface with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 12 or more years of prior relevant experience, or a Master’s degree and 10 or more years of prior relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience with program management
  • Experience with PMBOK standard practices
  • Experience managing and leading small teams
  • Ability to lead teams to develop technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution.
  • Lead teams to develop solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex system problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities.
  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to travel when needed by the program.

Preferred Quals:

  • PMP Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Administration
  • Experience working as a program manager in a DoD Program Office
  • Knowledge of Confluence and Jira.
  • Experience using agile methodologies.
  • Prior experience working for the Department of War, Air Force or as a government contractor.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $116,350.00 - $210,325.00
