Bookkeeper
Growing New York City real estate firm is currently seeking a Bookkeeper. This role focuses on managing financial operations for real estate portfolios, ensuring accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Yardi software and a strong background in property management accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Handle daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Maintain and manage financial records using Yardi property management software.
• Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for real estate properties.
• Process tenant payments, vendor invoices, and oversee timely collections and disbursements.
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements, resolving any discrepancies.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and conducting cash flow analysis for real estate assets.
• Collaborate with property managers and asset managers to provide financial reporting and insights.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in real estate or property management.
• Proficiency in Yardi software, with experience in property accounting and reporting.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and real estate financial operations.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.
Compensation
