Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a team in Louisville, Kentucky. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can confidently manage core bookkeeping functions, maintain accurate financial records, and keep payables, receivables, and reconciliations running smoothly. The right candidate will bring strong Sage 300 experience and a hands-on approach to supporting a fast-paced business environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end bookkeeping activities, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and maintained in an organized manner.

• Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and monitor outgoing obligations to keep accounts payable current.

• Manage customer billing, post incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to support healthy accounts receivable activity.

• Reconcile bank and other financial accounts on a regular basis to confirm accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Maintain and update records within Sage 300, ensuring data integrity across daily accounting functions.

• Prepare routine financial reports and supporting documentation to assist with internal review and decision-making.

• Review account activity for inconsistencies and investigate issues to help preserve accurate books.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to address bookkeeping questions and support ongoing accounting needs.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience performing full charge bookkeeping in a business setting that requires attention to detail.

• Proficiency using QuickBooks for daily accounting and recordkeeping tasks.

• Practical knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice handling and payment tracking.

• Practical knowledge of accounts receivable functions, including billing and cash application.

• Experience completing bank reconciliations with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple accounting priorities while meeting deadlines.

• Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy in financial data entry and review.

Construction industry experience is a huge plus!
