Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Manage journal entries, reconciliations, and detailed supporting schedules across balance sheet and income statement accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
• Oversee major components of the monthly and annual close cycle, helping deliver complete and timely financial results.
• Review account activity, investigate fluctuations, and present meaningful variance insights and recommendations to leadership.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements, internal reporting packages, and budget-to-actual analysis for management review.
• Resolve complex reconciliation issues promptly while ensuring account balances are properly supported and discrepancies are addressed.
• Enhance accounting operations by refining procedures, strengthening documentation, and reinforcing internal control practices.
• Collaborate with departments such as Billing, Revenue Cycle, and Operations to improve the accuracy and consistency of financial data.
• Assist with adoption of updated accounting guidance, policy changes, and system-related improvements that support accounting efficiency.
• Prepare audit support materials, respond to audit requests, and help keep records organized and compliant with applicable requirements.
• Provide additional financial analysis, reporting assistance, and project support while handling sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of close activities and account reconciliations.
• Strong command of general ledger accounting, accruals, journal entries, and reconciliation practices.
• Advanced Excel capabilities, including data analysis tools such as pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Experience using ERP or accounting platforms, with NetSuite strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze variances, solve accounting issues, and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with business partners.
• Healthcare or home health industry experience is preferred, and CPA or CPA-track candidates are viewed favorably.
Compensation
