Plant Controller
Responsibilities:
• Direct plant-level accounting activities, ensuring financial records accurately reflect manufacturing operations and inventory movement.
• Manage standard cost processes, including cost updates, variance analysis, and ongoing review of product costing assumptions.
• Lead month-end close for the facility by preparing reconciliations, reviewing journal entries, and delivering complete financial results on schedule.
• Analyze manufacturing performance by monitoring labor, material, and overhead trends and explaining key drivers behind variances.
• Partner with operations leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and decisions that strengthen plant profitability and cost control.
• Maintain strong oversight of inventory accounting through cycle count reviews, valuation checks, and reconciliation of inventory-related accounts.
• Prepare management reporting that highlights plant performance, financial risks, and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Support process and system-related changes within the plant accounting environment as needed, ensuring financial controls remain effective.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• Demonstrated experience in plant, manufacturing, or cost accounting environments.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Hands-on experience managing month-end close and preparing supporting reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of inventory accounting and financial controls in a production setting.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with plant leadership and operational teams.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate financial results clearly.
Compensation
