Purchasing Coordinator

We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to support purchasing and order processing activities for a utilities and infrastructure environment in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. This Contract position is fully on-site and focuses on maintaining accurate order records, coordinating documentation, and supporting inventory receipt activities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing purchase transactions, tracking freight details, and ensuring production-related orders are entered and processed correctly.

Responsibilities:

• Enter incoming purchase orders accurately and create corresponding sales orders to support production needs.

• Attach required supporting documentation to outgoing sales orders to ensure complete and timely processing.

• Upload proof of delivery records into company systems and maintain organized transaction files.

• Review and update freight-related information so shipment records remain current and accurate.

• Support inventory receiving activities by recording inbound materials and confirming item details.

• Coordinate purchasing documentation to help maintain smooth communication between internal teams and operational partners.

• Monitor order information for completeness and follow up on missing or inconsistent details.

• Assist with day-to-day purchasing operations while maintaining accuracy across order and materials record.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting purchasing, procurement, or order coordination activities in a detail-focused setting.
• Working knowledge of purchase order processing and related purchasing department functions.
• Ability to manage purchasing materials information with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with sales order entry, shipping documentation, and freight record updates.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple transactions and priorities at once.
• Comfortable working on-site in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
• Proficiency with computer-based data entry and document management systems.

Compensation

$25.00-$30.00 Hourly
