Compensation: $15 to $16 Hourly

We are looking for a dependable Office Assistant to support daily administrative and front-desk operations in Hiawatha, Iowa. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping an office organized, assisting visitors, and handling a variety of clerical tasks in a fast-paced setting. The role offers a flexible schedule of approximately 30 to 40 hours per week, with shifts that may fall between Monday and Saturday. Success in this position will come from strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple office priorities efficiently.

Responsibilities:
• Welcome visitors, provide front-desk support, and direct individuals to the appropriate on-site contact or department.
• Answer incoming calls professionally, respond to routine inquiries, and route messages accurately to team members.
• Scan, organize, and maintain documents so records remain accessible, accurate, and up to date.
• Perform a range of clerical duties such as filing, data entry, copying, and general office coordination.
• Help maintain an orderly reception and office environment to support smooth day-to-day operations.
• Monitor administrative tasks and assist with scheduling or workflow needs as priorities shift throughout the week.
• Support location staff with routine office activities and provide dependable assistance during busy periods.
• Follow site procedures for daily operations, including check-in guidance and other location-specific administrative processes.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an office assistant, receptionist, or similar administrative support role.
• Ability to manage inbound calls and interact effectively with visitors, staff, and external contacts.
• Proficiency in scanning, filing, and handling documents with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong clerical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Comfortable working a variable schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week, including potential Saturday shifts.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable attendance and a detail-oriented approach to front-office responsibilities.

Compensation

$15.00-$16.00 Hourly
