Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accountant to support accounting operations for a part time, long term contract opportunity in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This position is well suited for someone who can manage core bookkeeping functions independently, maintain accurate financial records, and keep payables, receivables, and reconciliations on track and close the books for month end. The ideal candidate brings strong QuickBooks (Desktop preferred) experience and a practical, hands-on approach to supporting a busy business environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the complete bookkeeping cycle, ensuring financial records are organized, current, and accurate.

• Process vendor invoices and payments in a timely manner while maintaining clear accounts payable documentation.

• Manage customer billing, record incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances as part of accounts receivable activities.

• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

• Maintain and update accounting data within QuickBooks, ensuring transactions are entered correctly and consistently.

• Prepare routine financial information and supporting records to assist with reporting and internal review.

• Monitor day-to-day accounting activity and help keep workflows running smoothly across bookkeeping functions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience handling full charge bookkeeping responsibilities in a detail-focused setting.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks for daily accounting and recordkeeping tasks.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable processes, including invoice handling and payment tracking.
• Background in accounts receivable, including billing, cash application, and collections support.
• Ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and investigate variances when needed.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in financial work.
• Capability to work independently and manage multiple accounting priorities effectively.

Compensation

$30.00-$38.50 Hourly
