Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day payment operations for a team in Little Rock, Arkansas. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing invoice workflows in a fast-paced accounting environment. The role will focus on accurate payment processing, coding financial documents, and helping maintain reliable accounts payable records.

Responsibilities:
• Review incoming invoices for completeness, accuracy, and proper supporting documentation before processing
• Assign correct general ledger or account codes to invoices and other payable transactions
• Enter and process vendor invoices in a timely manner while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Prepare and coordinate ACH payments and check disbursements according to established schedules
• Reconcile payable records and resolve discrepancies by working with internal teams and vendors
• Monitor payment deadlines to help ensure obligations are met promptly and accurately
• Maintain organized accounts payable files and documentation for reporting and audit support

Qualifications:

• Experience handling accounts payable activities in an accounting or finance setting
• Working knowledge of invoice coding and account classification practices
• Familiarity with ACH processing and scheduled check run procedures
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing financial documents
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a structured environment
• Proficiency with accounting systems and standard business software
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders

Compensation

$20.90-$24.20 Hourly
