Network Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Network Engineer with strong expertise in firewall administration, specifically Palo Alto and Juniper technologies. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure network infrastructure, with a heavy focus on firewall configuration, optimization, and incident response.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize Palo Alto (PAN-OS) and Juniper (SRX) firewalls in a production environment
• Develop and maintain firewall rules, NAT policies, VPN configurations (site-to-site and remote access)
• Monitor network traffic and security alerts; investigate and remediate potential threats
• Perform firewall upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
• Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to enforce network security best practices
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance issues, and firewall-related incidents
• Support audits and ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements
• Document network designs, configurations, and standard operating procedures

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS) and Juniper SRX firewalls
• Experience with firewall policy management, NAT, VPNs, and network segmentation
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing (BGP, OSPF), and switching
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Ability to analyze logs and perform root cause analysis on network/security incidents
