Copywriter

We are looking for an experienced Copywriter to join a long-term contract opportunity based in California. In this role, you will craft compelling content that connects with varied audiences while turning nuanced information into clear, engaging messaging. The position offers the chance to shape both newly created materials and refreshed assets that support brand growth, audience engagement, and key business initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• Create original copy for a range of audiences, including industry professionals, prospective partners, and consumers, ensuring each piece aligns with its intended purpose.
• Produce both concise and in-depth content for initiatives such as marketing campaigns, product-related announcements, and public-facing communications.
• Revise and enhance existing materials to strengthen clarity, accuracy, relevance, and overall performance.
• Partner with internal teams and subject matter experts to gather insights and develop content that reflects business priorities.
• Apply digital content best practices to web pages and blog articles to improve readability, consistency, and audience engagement.
• Adapt messaging style and structure to suit different channels while preserving an engaging and approachable brand presence.
• Identify ways to extend the value of existing content by reshaping it for use across multiple platforms and formats.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and consistency of brand voice across communications and campaigns.

Qualifications:

• Proven background in copywriting, content marketing, journalism, communications, or a closely related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality short-form and long-form writing across different content types.
• Required experience within real estate, mortgage, housing, or a comparable industry environment.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a sharp eye for detail and accuracy.
• Ability to tailor messaging effectively for different audiences, business objectives, and communication channels.
• Demonstrated success managing several projects at once while meeting deadlines in a remote work setting.
• Comfort incorporating feedback and revising content to achieve stronger outcomes.
• Familiarity with digital content optimization, content management tools such as WordPress, marketing platforms like HubSpot, or Spanish language skills is a plus.

Compensation

$40.00-$50.00 Hourly
