Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain and manage general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare supporting schedules and account analyses for financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Support the annual external audit by preparing schedules, documentation, and audit requests.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
- CPA or CPA eligibility required.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive/related accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Public accounting experience a plus.
- Experience supporting annual audits and financial statement preparation preferred.
Compensation
