Human Resources Assistant

A growing professional services organization is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support recruiting, onboarding, employee administration, and HR operations. This role offers excellent exposure to multiple areas of Human Resources and is ideal for someone looking to grow their HR career in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will support the HR team while ensuring employees receive timely and professional service throughout their employment lifecycle.

Responsibilities

HR Administration

• Maintain employee files and personnel records
• Process employment documentation and status changes
• Assist with onboarding and orientation activities
• Coordinate background checks and employment verifications
• Support benefits enrollment and employee communications

Recruiting Support

• Post job openings and manage applicant tracking systems
• Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communications
• Assist with recruiting events and hiring initiatives
• Track recruiting metrics and hiring activity

Employee Support

• Respond to HR-related inquiries
• Assist with employee engagement programs and company events
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
• Support special projects and departmental initiatives

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of HR, recruiting, administrative, or office support experience
• Bachelor's degree or HR coursework preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required
• Familiarity with HRIS systems such as ADP, Paylocity, UKG, or BambooHR preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
