HR Generalist

White Plains, NY 10603-1031, US Full Time
Compensation: $80 to $95 Yearly

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join a growing organization in White Plains, New York, in a newly established role. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on environments and enjoys creating structure, strengthening compliance, and improving day-to-day HR operations. The role is hybrid and will support payroll coordination, employee administration, and workforce processes across multiple locations while helping build a more efficient HR function.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee the collection and submission of weekly payroll details to help ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule.

• Address employee inquiries related to compensation, pay statements, and routine payroll concerns in a timely manner.

• Apply and monitor human resources practices that align with New York labor regulations, including requirements affecting seasonal and farm-based workforces.

• Develop, document, and refine HR procedures to create consistency and improve operational effectiveness.

• Organize and manage core employee lifecycle activities such as applications, onboarding, separations, and rehire preparation.

• Support seasonal staffing transitions by coordinating workforce changes, including layoffs and return-to-work processes.

• Maintain accurate personnel files, compliance records, and HR documentation in an organized and accessible manner.

• Collaborate with leaders across different sites to provide practical HR support and ensure consistent administration.

• Identify manual tasks that can be improved through streamlined workflows, automation, or better use of HR systems.

• Provide daily HR administrative support, including assistance with employee relations, benefits coordination, and HRIS updates.


Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in human resources with broad exposure to HR administration and employee support.
• Solid understanding of New York employment laws and compliance standards, including regulations affecting seasonal labor environments.
• Experience coordinating payroll inputs and responding to employee questions on pay-related matters.
• Demonstrated ability to establish new processes and improve existing workflows with limited oversight.
• Confidence working independently while managing multiple priorities in a practical, fast-moving setting.
• Strong organizational skills with careful attention to accuracy, recordkeeping, and follow-through.
• Familiarity with onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR information systems.
• Background in an operational, field-based, or high-activity environment is preferred.

Compensation

$80,000.00-$95,000.00 Yearly
