Cost Accountant

We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing team and play a key role in analyzing product costs, improving margins and supporting smarter business decisions. What You’ll Do
- Analyze raw materials, labor and overhead costs to support accurate product costing
- Maintain and update standard costs, bills of materials and inventory-related data
- Monitor manufacturing variances and provide reporting on cost trends and performance
- Assist with month-end close, inventory reconciliations and financial reporting activities
- Partner with production, operations and supply chain teams to improve cost visibility
- Support budgeting, forecasting and margin analysis
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvement and stronger controls
- Help ensure accuracy in inventory valuation and manufacturing accounting processes
- Assist with audits and provide documentation related to cost accounting and inventory
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or cost accounting
- Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing and variance analysis
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Solid analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Understanding of GAAP and internal controls preferred
