TEMP-TO-HIRE LITIGATION ATTORNEY – MOTION PRACTICE FOCUS

Robert Half Legal is partnering with a well-established plaintiff-side consumer warranty firm in Los Angeles seeking a California-barred attorney for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This position is a strong fit for a newly admitted attorney or a lawyer looking to pivot into litigation and develop practical experience in a busy plaintiff practice. The role offers immediate involvement in substantive drafting work, along with a clear path toward broader litigation responsibilities after conversion.

Position Overview

This attorney will support an active docket of consumer warranty matters, with an emphasis on drafting and motion-related work during the initial contract period. The environment is fast-paced and process-driven, making it ideal for someone eager to sharpen litigation fundamentals and grow quickly.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare complaints, motions, and related pleadings for plaintiff-side litigation matters
• Work from firm templates, internal workflows, and established drafting procedures
• Assist with active case support across a high-volume consumer warranty practice
• Use legal technology tools to improve drafting efficiency and help manage workflow
• Build practical litigation experience through day-to-day exposure to substantive case work

After Permanent Conversion

• Handle court appearances, whether remote or in person, depending on venue and case needs
• Expand into greater case responsibility, including more direct involvement with clients and ongoing litigation strategy

Qualifications:

Candidate Profile

• Active California Bar membership required
• Must currently reside in California
• Open to attorneys with limited litigation experience or those coming from another practice area
• Able to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven setting
• Interested in developing plaintiff-side litigation skills in a structured environment

Pay & Benefits

• Contract period: $50/hour during the initial 30-day temp assignment
• Upon conversion: base salary up to $135,000+ depending on experience, plus bonus potential
