IT Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to support technology initiatives in Southern California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can bridge business needs and technical execution while contributing to both project delivery and production support in a largely onsite environment. The role focuses on analyzing requirements, shaping solution designs, coordinating testing and implementation activities, and partnering closely with project leadership and cross-functional teams. Candidates who bring a strong background in mainframe environments along with modern Microsoft technologies will be well positioned for success.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with project and team leadership to plan, organize, and deliver application initiatives for parts-related systems and operational support efforts.

• Elicit business needs, translate them into functional and detailed specifications, and ensure work items are clearly defined for execution.

• Produce solution designs that align technical architecture with application requirements across medium- to large-scale platforms.

• Contribute hands-on to development, unit testing, integration testing, system validation, user acceptance support, deployment preparation, and post-release warranty activities.

• Manage assigned enhancements and project tasks, ranging from sizable independent work packages to contributions on broader team-based programs.

• Provide timely progress updates, risks, and issue summaries to project managers, leads, and other stakeholders.

• Support production applications by investigating issues, coordinating fixes, and helping maintain stable system performance.

• Collaborate with teams across multiple disciplines to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with enterprise technology practices.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in business analysis, documentation, solution design, and implementation within enterprise application environments.
• Proficiency with mainframe technologies, including VSAM, DB2, and core system development life cycle practices.
• Practical experience with Microsoft development technologies such as .NET Core, .NET, and C#.
• Understanding of software engineering principles and solution architecture for multi-tier and cross-platform systems.
• Ability to work effectively with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across technical and business teams.
• Familiarity with automotive parts systems, warehousing, or supply chain operations is preferred.
• Exposure to Angular is considered an advantage.

Compensation

$55.00-$57.00 Hourly
