Manufacturing Controller

Job Description:

Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and financial operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on financial leader with strong manufacturing industry expertise, deep knowledge of financial controls, and experience supporting operational decision-making in a fast-paced environment. NetSuite experience is required, and CPA and Adaptive Planning experience are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support business objectives.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, ensuring compliance and accuracy across financial reporting.
• Partner with operations and executive leadership to provide financial analysis, cost accounting insights, and strategic recommendations.
• Monitor inventory, standard costing, variance analysis, and other key manufacturing finance metrics.
• Lead cash management, audit support, and tax coordination activities.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff while driving process improvements and system efficiencies.
• Support system optimization and reporting enhancements within NetSuite and, ideally, Adaptive Planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Required: Strong experience with Oracle NetSuite.
• Preferred: CPA designation.
• Preferred: Experience with Adaptive Planning.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, financial controls, and month-end/year-end close.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
