Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking a strong Staff Accountant for a 4-week contract assignment. This role is fully onsite and is ideal for an accounting professional who can step in quickly, work independently, and provide immediate support during a busy period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations
• Post and review journal entries
• Support the month-end close process and help ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies
• Maintain supporting documentation and ensure accuracy of accounting records
• Work closely with the accounting team to meet deadlines and manage priorities

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including the ability to work with formulas, pivot tables, and large data sets
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to perform well in a fast-paced environment
