Accounting Manager
Responsibilities:
• Lead daily activities for the general ledger and bank reconciliation function, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely completion of assigned work.
• Direct the month-end close process by reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to maintain reliable financial records.
• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals, creating clear priorities and promoting accountability across the group.
• Monitor compliance with applicable accounting standards and financial reporting requirements, including GAAP and other relevant regulations.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support financial statement audits and respond to documentation requests efficiently.
• Review balance sheet activity and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and strengthen overall controls.
• Prepare and analyze reporting materials that help leadership understand financial results, trends, and areas requiring attention.
• Use strong Excel and ERP system expertise to improve reporting accuracy, streamline workflows, and support ongoing accounting operations.
Qualifications:
• CPA designation is required, along with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful exposure to public company environments.
• Prior success leading and developing accounting staff, with direct people management experience required.
• Strong command of month-end close, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes.
• Experience supporting financial statement audits and working within a structured, compliance-driven accounting environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience using enterprise accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-moving setting.
